Itinerary 07 Days Medan – Berastagi – Ketambe And Lake Toba Tour

The following is a description of the 7-Day tour itinerary route for Medan – Brastagi – Ketambe and Lake Toba, as follows:

Day 01: Airport / Medan – Hotel (Emerald Garden Hotel /Le Polonia Hotel / Similar)

Arrival at Kualanamu International Airport pick up by our driver and then drive to hotel in Medan city, afternoon free at own leisure.

Day 02: Medan – Brastagi (Sinabung Hills Hotel / Sibayak Intl Hotel / Grand Mutiara Hotel) (B)

After breakfast city tour in Medan visiting Sultan Palace, Grand Mosque, Chinese temple, Hindu’s temple and Kesawan Area ”the old center of Medan city” then drive to Brastagi, a cool and pleasant mountain area, on the way passing Sembahe and Sibolangit, arrival at Brastagi visiting Lhumbini Park with its duplicate of Shwedagon temple and then visiting fruit market and Gundaling Hill to see fantastic view to Sibayak and Sinabung Volcano (weather depends), afternoon check-in to hotel.

Day 03: Brastagi – Ketambe (Thousand Hill Guesthouse / Friendship Guesthouse) (B)

After breakfast drive to Ketambe, on the way visit Batak Karo traditional village at Lingga and then continue drive by passing Bukit Barisan with stop at several interesting places, arriving in Ketambe check-in at simple guesthouse.

Day 04: Fullday Jungle Tracking (B,L)

After breakfast tracking at Ketambe (Leuser National Park), to explore the primary tropical rain-forest with its wildlife living in their natural habitat. You will go deeper into the jungle where you will have chances to see the wild Orangutans, Gibbons, Monkeys, Deer, Wild Pigs and kind of birds. You will also see special plants and insects of the Sumatra jungle. You may enjoy hot, warm and cold bath as the hot water is flowing into the river and mix up with the cold. Afternoon return to guesthouse.

Day 05: Ketambe – Samosir Island (B)

Early in the morning at 7.00 you proceed the journey to Samosir island via Sidikalang and Tele and at Tele stop to enjoy fantastic view of Lake Toba, afternoon arriving on Samosir Island check-in to hotel.

Day 06: Samosir Excursion (B)

After breakfast excursion on Samosir Island by car, visiting several Batak Toba traditional villages at :

• Ambarita : to see stone chairs and tables the old meeting place of Sialagan Kings.
• Simanindo : to see Batak Toba traditional dances and museum.
• Tomok : to see the old tombs of Sidabutar Kings

Along on this trip also possible to stop at school to see the activities of young children in the school, visiting the village where the people make traditional hand weaving + stop also at scenic places like the graves! Afternoon return back to hotel.

Day 07: Samosir – Medan / Airport (B)

After breakfast crossing back to Parapat and then drive to Medan via Pematang Siantar and Tebing Tinggi, stop will be made at several interesting places, this trip will take about 5 hours driving .

Arrival in Medan directly transferred to airport for your flight to next destination. TOUR ENDS
