DAY 01: ARRIVAL IN MEDAN – CITY TOUR – JOURNEY TO BUKIT LAWANG
Welcome to Sumatra! Upon arrival at Kualanamu International Airport in Medan, you will be warmly greeted by your personal tour guide. A comfortable private transfer will take you to a guided city tour of Medan, a bustling metropolis where colonial, Malay, Chinese, and modern influences blend. Highlights include:
- The magnificent Great Mosque (Masjid Raya), one of Medan’s most important religious landmarks.
- The Sultan’s Palace of Deli (Maimun Palace), with its grand architecture blending Malay, Moghul, and Italian styles.
- A Chinese temple, reflecting the strong cultural presence of the Chinese community.
Afterwards, leave the city behind and begin the journey to Bukit Lawang, traveling through scenic countryside and passing vast rubber and oil palm plantations. Upon arrival in Bukit Lawang, check in at your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure.

DAY 02: JUNGLE TREKKING IN GUNUNG LEUSER NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast at the lodge, begin your jungle trekking adventure deep into Gunung Leuser National Park, one of the last remaining tropical rainforests in Sumatra and part of the UNESCO World Heritage–listed Tropical Rainforest Heritage of Sumatra. Your experienced local guide will lead you through narrow jungle trails surrounded by towering trees, exotic plants, and the sounds
of the wild. Along the way, there is a high chance of spotting Sumatran orangutans in their natural habitat, as well as other fascinating wildlife such as Thomas leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, gibbons, black gibbons, reptiles, hornbills, and a variety of tropical bird species. The guide will also introduce you to the diverse flora of the rainforest, including medicinal plants and giant hardwood
trees. At midday, enjoy a Picnic lunch in the jungle before continuing deeper into the forest. In the late afternoon, arrive at a campsite where you will spend the night in a simple tent or jungle shelter. Experience the unique atmosphere of the rainforest after dark, with the symphony of insects and the calming flow of the nearby river.

DAY 03: FULL-DAY TREKKING & RETURN TO BUKIT LAWANG
Wake up to the refreshing sounds of the jungle and enjoy a simple breakfast prepared by your guide before setting off on another day of jungle exploration in Gunung Leuser National Park. Today’s trek takes you along winding forest trails where you can continue to encounter semi wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques, hornbills, and countless other wildlife species in their natural rainforest
habitat. As you walk deeper into the forest, your guide will point out fascinating plants and explain the ecosystem of this protected national park. You’ll stop midday to enjoy a Picnic lunch in the heart of the jungle, surrounded by the towering trees and natural soundtrack of the rainforest. In the afternoon, the trek gradually leads back toward Bukit Lawang village. Upon arrival, check in to your accommodation and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure perhaps relaxing by the Bohorok River
or sharing stories with fellow travelers.

Day 04: KAYAKING ON THE LANDAK RIVER, BUKIT LAWANG
You will be transported by scooter to the Landak River, about an hour away. Before starting the kayaking trip, you will receive safety instructions, and then the adventure begins. The river is calm, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and observe the local wildlife. Various types of monkeys, toucans, and hornbills inhabit the area, and you will also see many lizards along the riverbanks.
Around midday, you will stop for lunch and have time to cool off in the clear water. In the afternoon, the kayaking adventure continues. The full excursion lasts approximately 4 to 5 hours. This trip is suitable for children aged 6 and above, with children under 12 sharing a kayak with an adult.

Day 06: Bukit Lawang – Medan
After breakfast, enjoy some free time at leisure in Bukit Lawang. You may take a refreshing swim in the Bohorok River, stroll through the local village, or simply relax in the peaceful jungle setting. Later, drive back to Medan, North Sumatra’s bustling capital. Upon arrival check in to your hotel in Medan.
