Trek deep into the Sumatran jungle on a 10-day expedition. Witness wild orangutans, hike through Leuser National Park, and discover hidden waterfalls.
Sumatra is one of the last two places in the world where you can see wild orangutans at large in the wild. About 100 km northwest of the capital, Bukit Lawang is a riverside town on the edge of Mount Leuser National Park. In the past, this village was a kind of sanctuary for orangutans and although no longer exists, it is still a good basis for watching our red-haired cousins. Mount Leuser National Park is listed by UNESCO as one of the most biodiversity areas of the planet and will be the chosen destination for our jungle expedition in Sumatra.
