Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Airport – Hotel / City Tour (Emerald Garden Hotel /Le Polonia Hotel / Similar)

Arrival at Kualanamu International Airport Medan meet and transfer to hotel and then city tour by visiting Great Mosque, Sultan Palace, Chinese Temple and market , afternoon return back to hotel.

Day 02: Medan – Tangkahan (Mega Inn Lodge) (B)

After breakfast drive to Tangkahan via Binjai and Tanjung Pura, on the way visit several villages where you can see the daily activities of local people, arrival at Tangkahan (a part of Leuser National Park) check in to simple Guesthouse. Afternoon free at own leisure or walking around the area of the hotel. On the bank of the river and the will be possibility to see the elephants washing on the river.

Day 03: Tangkahan – Elephant Washing & River Safari (B,L)

After breakfast walking to the elephant station and then join with the Mahout during washing the elephant, and then feed the elephant. After feeding the elephant enjoying Tubing through the river and stop will be made at fantastic Buluh Waterfall where you may enjoy the waterfall, take your natural shower and then you can enjoy sun-bathing and swimming on the river and enjoying picnic lunch on the bank of the river. Afternoon arrival at the village you can get in touch with local people, where you can see the daily activities of the local people and then return to guesthouse by walking, arrival at guesthouse you can take a rest or visit hot springs and waterfall near the guesthouse.

Day 04: Tangkahan – Bukit Lawang (Bukit Lawang Cottages / Rindu Alam Hotel / Similar) (B)

After breakfast drive to Bukit Lawang by Jeep , on the way stop at several plantations for rubber, and palm oil, arrival at Bukit Lawang check-in to hotel and afternoon free at own leisure.

Day 05: Bukit Lawang – Tracking (B)

After breakfast walking to the jungle to start a jungle tracking to explore the nature of Leuser National Park with its flora and fauna, there will be possibility to see Orang Utan on their own habitat and other kind of animals such as Thomas-leaf monkeys, long tail maccaque, gibbon, black gibbon and other kind of flora and fauna of tropical rain-forest. This tracking will take about 03 hours, after tracking return to hotel.
Afternoon free at own leisure to enjoy the nature of Bukit Lawang where you can also walking to the village around the hotel

Day 06: Bukit Lawang – Brastagi (Hotel Sinabung Hills / Sibayak Intl Hotel / Grand Mutiara Hotel) (B)

After breakfast drive to Brastagi , on the way stop at Sembahe River, passing Sibolangit, and arrival at Brastagi visiting Lhumbini Park with its duplicate of Shwedagon pagoda, then visit fruit market, and Gundaling Hill. Afternoon check-in to hotel.

Day 07: Brastagi – Samosir / Lake Toba ( Tabo Cottages / Samosir Villa) (B)

After breakfast drive to Parapat , on the way visit Batak Karo traditional village at Dokan, stop at Sipiso-piso waterfall, visit at Rumah Bolon (Long House) the old palace of Batak Simalungun Kings and Simarjarunjung to see the view of Lake Toba, upon arrival at Parapat crossing to Samosir Island by ferry boat , arriving on Samosir check-in to hotel.

Day 08: Motor Bike Tour (B)

After breakfast you may choose to explore Samosir Island “the Land of Batak Toba people” by Motorcycle to the Top of Samosir Hill to see small Lake at the Top of the Hill called Sidahoni Lake, where on the way visiting several Batak Toba villages, to see the activities of local people such us visiting children on the school, visiting the village where the local people make traditional hand weaving and other activities. When you prefer tracking, our tour guide will accompany tracking to the jungle on Samosir Island with the possibility to stop at several villages. Afternoon return to hotel.

Day 09: Samosir Free At Own Leisure (B)

Today is a free time to relax, swimming, sun-bathing or walking around the villages and still possible to take a Boat trip (Optional Tour)

Day 10: Samosir – Padang Sidempuan (Mega Permata Hotel) (B)

After breakfast crossing by ferry boat to Parapat and arrival at Parapat drive to Padang Sidempuan, on the way stop at pineapple, clove, and coffee garden and visiting traditional market at Balige and Sipoholon Hot Springs. Before arrival at Padang Sidempuan, enjoy the nature by walking at the bank of Sarulla river, the ricefield terraces and arrival at Padang Sidempuan check-in to hotel.

Day 11:Padang Sidempuan – Bukittinggi (Santika Hotel) (B)

Leave Padang Sidempuan for Bukittinggi by passing rain tropical forest of Rimba Panti and visit pepper, vanilla, cardamom and cinnamon garden, and crossing the equatorial line at Bonjol village. At late noon arrival at Bukittinggi -the charming town of Minangkabau people-, directly check-in to hotel.

Day 12: Bukittinggi– City Tour – Harau Valley (B)

After breakfast drive to Payakumbuh and visiting Harau Valley with its Echo, ricefield in terraces, traditional villages and then back to Bukittinggi , visiting Sianok Canyon, Fort De Kock, Museum and Market. Afternoon return back to hotel. Evening enjoy traditional Minangkabau Dance and traditional music performance.

Day 13: Bukittinggi Minangkabau Tour (B)

After breakfast drive to Batusangkar via Tabek Patah, on the way stop at Rao-Rao to visit Minangkabau traditional village and stop to see traditional coffee milling, arrival at Batusangkar proceed to Pagaruyung to visit the duplicate Palace of Minangkabau Kingdom, afternoon return to Bukittinggi via Padang Panjang and visit Pandai Sikat village to see Minangkabau traditional hand weaving and wood carving.

Day 14: Bukittinggi – Explore Local People Activities (B)

After breakfast visit several villages to see how the local people on their daily activities, such as planting the rice on rice-field, and farmer working on their field which helped by water buffalo, and even experience the local people during harvesting time. On this day will provide traditional fried tapioca or fried banana as your snack cooked at the house of local people.

Day 15:BUKITTINGGI – MANINJAU TOUR (B)

After breakfast drive to Maninjau Lake via 44 hairpin curves fantastic road of “Kelok 44”, on the way visit Koto Gadang village to see traditional Silver work and Embun Pagi to see the view of the Lake, arriving at Maninjau enjoying the nature of Lake Maninjau and the panorama, walking to the village or to the beach, Afternoon return to Bukittinggi .

Day 16: BUKITTINGGI – PADANG – RIMBA ECOLODGE (Rimba Ecolodge) (B, D)

After breakfast drive to Padang via Padang Panjang, on the way stop at Anai waterfall, arrival at Bungus Padang and by boat crossing of about 30 minutes to reach the hotel beach. Overnight at the Guesthouse RIMBA ECOLODGE (simple and basic accommodation)

Today is the activities on the island which will be arranged by the resort, the activities can be covered :

• Snorkelling with its Snorkeling equipment
• Picnic days to neighbouring island (Depend on the weather)
• Canoeing and Fun Sailing
• Tracking in the forest
